George Clooney Humanitarian Award Win

Los Angeles: Hollywood actor George Clooney, adding his appreciation. He won the humanitarian award "Bob Hope Humanitarian Award" in the arena of the Emmy Awards on Sunday (29 / 8) yesterday.

Clooney never get an Oscar, two Globe trophies, and trophies Movie Critics Awards. And this time the award is not related to expertise in the acting world, but related to "work" it in increasing awareness of the crisis in Darfur, Sudan, as well as fund-raising efforts for disaster victims of Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, and the victims of 11 September 2001 attacks in New York and Washington DC.

Clooney is
one of the most popular figure in Hollywood. He is including the main organizer of a charity telethons for the victims of earthquake in Haiti in January 2010 and Hurricane Katrina which devastated New Orleans area in August 2005.

He was appointed as UN envoy for peace mission in 2008. In 2006, he addressed the UN Security Council on the refugee crisis in the conflict area of Darfur, western Sudan, which has claimed the lives of more than 300,000 people.

Clooney, was first popular in television series as a handsome doctor, Dr. Doug Ross in hospital drama "ER. He also won the best supporting actor Oscar for his role in the film Syriana in 2005.

"Bob Hope Humanitarian Award" given to artists with their human gait. Previously, presenter Oprah Winfrey and Bill Cosby also received the award.
